As Project Architect for Ultra Unit Architectural Studio, we Explored adding units to an existing 10 Unit apartment complex. This was once a very difficult task but thanks to the state-wide ADU bill Multi-Family ADU has become a way that we can help our clients get the most out of their property. Multi Family ADUs can be developed on lots where there are already 3 or more dwelling units. We are allowed to build two new detached or attached units at a minimum but can build up to 25% of the existing number of dwelling units assuming there is enough space.
